Jeff Rosen, owner of Red Rose Improvements, is a general contractor and a member of the BNI Networkers Choice chapter. Currently, he is also a member of the ninth class of Entrepreneurship Pioneers Initiative, a business growth course at Rutgers University’s Newark campus. Red Rose Improvements

Rutgers reached out to BNI to recruit students for its ninth class, after executives at the school were made aware of BNI, and wanted to give members the opportunity to be part of this business-changing opportunity. Jeff heard about the program after a BNI email announcing it to all members. He completed Rutgers’ rigorous application, interview, and review process, and was accepted into the course with a scholarship.

“I’m at a point where I’m looking to create new branding for my business, so I thought it would be the perfect time for me to look into this course and learn to reposition my company,” he said.

Jeff has grown his business to have national accounts, publicly traded accounts, and hotels. In addition, he has been an EMT for 16 years. “Health care has been important to me,” he said. “I’m learning to use both my health care and construction skill sets for elderly people who want to age in place. I want to help people live in their homes longer, and make their spaces beautiful, safe, and comfortable.

“With the Rutgers program, I’m learning the most efficient use of my time, and what tactics I need to create the new branding,” he continued. “The class is very energizing. I am learning that I’m not alone, and that others have similar concerns. It’s interesting to see how I can help other people see things they don’t see, and they help me see things I don’t see.”
